LMU Students vote to decide the winner of competition on niche social network YesYous.com
April 24, Fullerton, CA – Current Loyola Marymount University students can win up to $1,000 cash in a competition launched today by student-run company YesYous.com. To enter the contest, students create a free YesYous.com account, post projects they created in school, invite project teammates and/or advisors and then encourage classmates to vote for their entry. The project with the most votes by May 14 wins. The competition is open to all majors.
“We’ve been getting requests from LMU students ever since we launched the first competitions at CSU Fullerton and UC Berkeley just 2 weeks ago,” said YesYous.com founder and CSU Fullerton student, Hasan Almatrouk (click here to see Hasan’s YesYous profile). “We practically had to launch the competition at LMU because of the strong demand, and we plan to launch competitions at more Universities in the state before the end of the month.”
The competition at LMU is the 3rd to be launched by project-sharing social network YesYous.com, but plans are in the works to launch competitions at other California Universities before the end of the month.

Students vote to determine which project is their school’s best.
April 11, Orange County, CA – Students of CSU Fullerton and UC Berkeley can win up to $1,000 to spend as they choose in a competition launched today by student-run company YesYous.com. To enter the contest, students create a YesYous.com account, post the projects they created in school, invite the project’s teammates and/or advisors, then encourage classmates to vote for their project. The project with the most votes by May 20 wins.
Students of all majors(film, business, communications, anthropology, etc.) can submit their projects to the contest and potentially win $1,000. “Projects with some visual interest have a natural edge,” said YesYous.com founder/CSU Fullerton student Hasan Almatrouk (click here to see Hasan’s YesYous profile), “but any project could take home the $1,000 prize. The winning project will be the one whose creators are able rally enough votes to beat the other projects from their school.”
“We launched the contest because we thought it’d be fun to raise awareness of the projects that our classmates were working on in school.” Said YesYous.com COO/UC Berkeley student Nick Nikbakht (click here to see Nick's YesYous profile), “And of course, we wanted to raise student’s awareness of YesYous.com, because it is a valuable tool for both the students and their universities.”
YesYous’ slogan is ‘Project sharing, simplified’ because it is the only website that connects people based on their mutual collaborations. Students, prospective employers and universities can see what projects students have worked on, who worked on the projects with them, and who their advisor was.

April 9, Orange County, CA – A brand new addition to the world of tech startups, YesYous.com is project sharing made simple. The site provides a place for people to upload their projects and their project's awards and accolades and share recognition for these projects with the teammates, collaborators and advisors who helped create it.
"I made YesYous to show my friends and family the projects that I'm working on at school," says YesYous.com founder Hasan Almatrouk (click here to see Hasan’s YesYous profile). "but the best part about the site is that it lets my teammates and I share in the recognition for our project."
Students from California State University, Fullerton and University of California, Berkeley appreciate the ability to link together via their mutual projects, but they also appreciate YesYous's dedication to customer service. "Other social media sites I use apply radical changes with virtually no notice. They don't care about what I think, and they certainly don't care if I like their changes," says YesYous.com COO and University of California, Berkeley student Nick Nikbakht (click here to see Nick's YesYous profile), "but YesYous.com isn't like that. YesYous listens to its users and actually implements changes they request. It's one of the things that drew me to the site in the first place."
YesYous will be implementing hundreds of new features in the coming months, including project competitions in which university students will pit their projects against those of their peers for a $1,000 grand prize. Stay tuned for updates.
